At what height does a rock wall require an Engineer and Council Approval?

Generally any wall above one metre in height requires approval from the local authority. Nevertheless by terracing or setting back the next stage of wall a taller wall can be constructed if each is kept to a metre in height.

How much access do I need for your machinery?

If excavation is needed then at least 2.2 metres minimum access is sufficient as the machine has a track width of 2 metres.

How much notice do I need to give you to get my project started?

Depending on our work load of course a minimum of 1 to 2 weeks is needed to organise materials and assign a time to start. Nevertheless in busier times as much 6 - 8 weeks may be needed however as much as notice as possible and detailed planning can help avoid delays.

Do you only do Sandstone rock walls?

No - we also supply and construct sandstone steps and letterboxes as well as do general earthworks. More information will be added to our website about these additional services soon.

We are a licenced Landscaper but we do not supply landscaping supplies or do any landscaping work outside of Sandstone Rock Wall Construction.

We supply Sandstone Blocks and Boulders and the construction of Retaining Walls and Landscaping Sandstone Rock Walls only.
